Hi Leslie,

I have just ran a quick import and it seems to work fine with this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/custom-post-type-ui/

Just to make sure we are both doing the same thing, can you please:

  1. Click on ImportWP from the left hand menu within WP-Admin
  2. Click on the name of your importer to open up the edit import screen.
  3. Click on Save & Run
  4. Click on the Run Now button, this should trigger the start of the import nad you should see it "initializing" followed by it parsing through your document displaying "Importing: x/x , y Errors, Elapsed time zs"
  5. Once done you should see "Complete, Imported x Records, y Errors, Elapsed time zs" displayed.
  6. Above this there should be a history tab displayed at the top, if you click this is should show a list of imports, with the latest displayed at the top.
  7. Click the view button to see an overview of what happened.

Thanks, I do see that record list which indicates that the data has been imported. Just no sign of it anywhere else! I have created custom fields for a custom post type, and mapped those to my csv file. Very weird. If you do try Types, let me know what happens. Thanks. Leslie

Hi Leslie,

The table displaying the import logs has been moved from being displayed when the importer running, due to issues with slowing down the browser on large imports, and in turn speeding up imports.

You can now see the status of each record after it has imported buy clicking on the history tab of the importer. The first table should show all the imports that have ran, and you can then click on view to see each record.

There should hopefully be an error messages displayed on each record explaining why it has not been imported.

I have never used Toolset Types CPT, but i expect that it should register post types like every other plugin, so in theory it should work (let me know if you are still having issues and i will test this plugina gains the plugin).

Hi, I am not able to successfully import custom post types. I am using Toolset Types CPT. I am following all the instructions in your documentation for mapping, and I do get a message saying that the import occurred, but I am not presented with a table as the import progresses, like your documentation shows, and after it is finished, there is no evidence of the data having been imported when I look at the CPT. Can you help? Is ImportWP compatible with Types CPT? Thanks.
